OGM Career

How OGM Career uses AI

What AI does here

  • The assistant answers questions about using the app, drafts bug reports, and suggests changes to your settings.
  • Career features can ask AI to improve wording: suggesting a stronger achievement line, a resume summary, a cover letter, an outreach message, or a coaching note on an interview answer. They are told to use only facts you have confirmed and to leave [brackets] where a fact is missing, never inventing numbers, employers or credentials.
  • Scores and matches (resume score, keyword match, gap analysis, job match, interview feedback) come from published rules, not AI, and show how each point was earned.
  • Anything written by AI is marked AI-generated. Check it before relying on it.

You stay in control

  • AI never changes your account or sends anything on its own: the assistant shows each change and only does it after you confirm.
  • You can turn AI off in Account. The app then uses built-in rules, and every feature still works.

What is sent, and to whom

  • When AI is on, the text you give a feature (and, for the assistant, a few recent messages and the relevant help pages) is sent to Anthropic, which runs the Claude model, to produce the answer.
  • Anthropic processes it for us under contract and doesn't use it to train its models.
  • We record that an AI feature was used, how big the request was and what it cost, but not what you wrote or what it answered. Assistant conversations are kept for 90 days so you can scroll back, then deleted.

Limits and safety

  • Each account has a fair-use limit on AI requests per hour and per day.
  • Requests that try to misuse the AI are refused, and the app falls back to its built-in answers.
  • AI can be wrong. Don't use it for medical, legal or financial decisions.
